This is very exciting. Not only will it have a very positive impact on birth outcomes, but it will also reduce severity of post partum stress and depression. Doula support also brings a higher rate of breastfeeding success, something that is lacking in underserved communities. That has posotive economic impacts, too. Plus - jobs!
