I listened to the radio debates, which Schultz lost big time. Ellison made all the good points, refuting all Schultz's accusations, and the longer they went, the higher, faster, and more upset Schultz's voice got. However, not many people listen to MPR and Schultz had non-stop horror movie ads.
Next time, Ellison has got to get somebody to do good ads for him. Schultz had ten ads to his one. It's not enough to just not look like the monster Schultz described. Ellison needed to list the things he accomplished and address the accusations head-on. Even during the debates, Schultz kept claiming that the fraud cases that the AG office went after was proof that he was allowing fraud to happen. Somebody needed to point out that these people getting caught and punished is a good thing. If Schultz or anybody else spends a whole term not finding any wrongdoing, it doesn't mean there isn't any. In fact, it would be a good motivation to check the overseer's bank account for kickbacks.
I was really fearing a term under that sanctimonious jerk. His mind is pursed tighter than a chicken's asshole. Somebody should tell him the Church Lady on SNL was a joke.
