and cases slip through the cracks of the school system all the time.

that said, i wd have welcomed a partnership w my local school. a lot of hs’s have them.
i wd have been thrilled to get what the catholic schools r entitled to- a book and a bus, as they say. i totally wd have welcomed text books. i knew they’d go eventually, and that the transition wd b hard. any common experience i cd give my kids, i wd.
private testing is spendy, and right thinking parents want to know their kids r doing ok.
sports teams, science & art fairs, field trips (i’m an awesome field trip mom.)
i wd have loved them all. in fact, i might have kept it up longer. i think my 2 younger kids were very badly served by the local school.

i hope they extend a carrot w that stick. anyone willing to put their lives on hold for their kids shd be treated as an ally.
