1. The dreaded lantern fly invaded SE Pa last spring 😣

I’ve spent hours trying to determine an organic way to hinder them- to no avail.
I don’t want to spray poison everywhere. And, banding of our large trees would kill a lot of birds.
I will say, there were very few of them this year, as compared to last year- don’t know why.
And, our 20+ year old grape vines produced the best grapes we’ve had in years!

I’ve heard that preying mantis eat them and, just last week I found a preying mantis that was no longer green but, camouflaged looking just like a spotted lantern fly!
