nor a big proponent of 2A 'rights.' (I think that would probably fall into the category of slogan rather than a tenet) However - I can't see the relevance of your comment. (you're proposing to charge the 4 yr old with his own killing?) There is certainly negligence involved whenever a very young child gets his hands on a weapon (although in this case we don't know if the negligence belonged to the adults present) - but in that case I would think it would be more germane to trot out something like, "responsible gun owners .." I could jump on that wagon in a NY second.

None of which prevents me from finding compassion and sympathy for the family in a horrific situation.
