Anybody going to the 3/19 mtg against the proposed Newark Power Plant? [View all]
I'm trying to get my family geared up to go. I know several DUers live around Newark and was just wondering if anyone else was going to be there.
It's actually the Board of Adjustment hearing at Newark High School auditorium, from 6pm-10pm, Wednesday, March 19th. They said if you're planning to go, it would be good to arrive early to get a seat. The group "No Newark Power Plant" has asked that we spread the word to interested people. Their web site is www.nonewarkpowerplant.org.
I figure it's going to go through since the Polly payoff and our city secretary just got a $21K raise, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure the PTB know more and more people are climbing on board the "Residents against the Power Plant" train.
