I find it very interesting that the Connecticut legislature is paying attention to UConn. The same can't be said for higher ed in Ohio. The University of Akron is in deep financial trouble, so laid off 215 employees last summer. At the same time the university brought in a series of very expensive administrators who have failed utterly. The president resigned at the end of May (earning about $400K plus many, many perks), and two of his chief people (who were fired this week) earned far more than $200K.

I guess I'm glad to see Connecticut paying attention.
