10. RWNJs are disturbed by gay men holding hands as they walk down the street

They are disturbed by dykes on bikes. They are disturbed by the sexual revolution in general. They are disturbed by inter-racial marriages and multi-racial children. They are disturbed by having to work alongside an effeminate man, or a Moslem woman wearing a head scarf. They are disturbed by men, who wear turbans. They are disturbed by having to sit on a toilet seat that was used by a transgender person. They feel better when such things are kept safely locked in the closet, or annihilated altogether.

As a Buddhist, I could tell them a lot of stuff that would help them to be not so disturbed by such things, but they wouldn't listen. They are simply not ready to consider the possibilities of otherness. Their minds are closed. Locked tight shut.

May all sentient beings find joy in appreciating the happiness, success, and well being of others.
May all sentient beings rest in the equanimity of no more craving, attachment, or aversion.
