4. The local news said new fires will start

since everything is super hot. The insides of trees are burning before the outside does. It's crazy!!! I just saw that there are currently 6 fires when just an hour ago there were "only" 5.

Santa Anna winds are weird and can switch directions in a nanosecond, only to be whipped around into another direction. I have experience with these fires from San Diego and it is beyond terrible! My heart breaks for the poor, innocent animals.

A friend's home was burned to the ground and he lost several horses and a new litter of kittens. The ground was still so hot 4 days later that it melted the soles of shoes just by walking in the area.
