I've actually been doing them for awhile--probably since 2022 or thereabouts. The early photos were done with a camera and lens that AndyS had loaned me.
He wasn't using the camera any more and he thought I might like it. So he told me to try it out and see if it worked for me. Turned out to be too complicated and difficult! He had said if it didn't suit me for whatever reason, to just give it back and no hard feelings! That was awfully generous of him, and he meant it. So I did eventually give it back and he converted it into an infrared camera which he continued to use. The lens was mine to keep.
My husband bought me the camera I'm now using. It's an Olympus OM-D Mark iv. It suits me perfectly. And the lens I'm now using is an Olympus Prime lens 12-45mm. He'd given me a kit lens that failed after a while and I bought this one in its place. It's a terrific lens. So that's the history! His friendship brought both of us so much joy. I miss him.
