1. I now and forever associate that song with the morning comedian Marc Maron (then a host on Air America Radio)

learned that GWBush* had been reelected in 2004. Wow, was that a grim morning-- and adding to the trauma (Maron could scarcely speak), his producer started playing (Don't Fear) the Reaper... It DID break the silence, at least... Both funny and tragic at the same time.
