1. A friend of mine didn't like decorating her Christmas tree, and then taking it down a few weeks later.

She wished she could set up a platform in the living room on which the fully trimmed artificial tree would sit. She wanted to just press a button and have the floor open up, have the decorated tree go down into the basement, and then have the floor close over it. Like they do on stage during performances.
It was just too expensive to do, so she opted to do what we all do. Get all the stuff out, set the tree up, trim the tree, sit down and take a break with a glass of wine, admire our work, enjoy the holidays and then take it all down. Again, after all is done, and everything is put away, set down and take a break while enjoying a glass of wine.
It''s actually not a bad routine, especially the enjoying our work and the glass (or 2) of wine.
