Morning Joe Bowing Down to Trump Endangers Us All

I’m sure many of you saw the news earlier this week, how MSNBC’s Mika Brzeninski and Joe Scarborough set a dangerous precedent by visiting Mar-A-Lago just to bow down to Donald. They gave Trump exactly what he wants, and exactly what he needs to become a dictator.

Yesterday, it was reported the reason for the meeting is that Mika and Joe were "concerned” about facing “harassment from the incoming Trump Administration.” Which truly reveals the level of their cowardice—abandoning us and what we thought were their principles, in order to save themselves.

Within an hour of announcing the Trump meeting on air, ratings fell by 38%. The network was already in a sharp decline, recently facing their lowest ratings in decades for the 25-54 age demographic. So I don’t believe for a second that this meeting was about harassment—it was about ratings.

Last night, I got a call from a family member who for years has started every weekday with Morning Joe. They just wanted me to know, “I’ll never be watching them again.” I wasn’t shocked about that, I was just surprised they were still tuning in.
