I think it got changed in 1954. I was a little kid but I remember a lot of grumbling over it. People don't like change.

I do hope he's forced to bactrack on his Russian imitation on this one. Veterans get little enough as it is. Taking away the one day a year they at least get some lip service in favor of a macho holiday so King Assboil can strut and preen is offensive, especially considering the aversion toward service his family has displayed.
