7. Achieving respect for the law is a method to throw off tyranny
Thu Feb 13, 2025, 03:27 PM
Thursday

There are in essence only two methods to struggle for a free society.*
1) through legal means
2) through armed or unarmed revolt

This post is a description and links to carrying out method 1.

HOWEVER In the USA in early 2025, method 2 is perhaps the only option left to us.
Method 2 is necessary because of a fascist takeover of the USA. A convicted felon and a rapist and a Russian asset is back in the executive branch. The USA was taken over by nasty white supremacists, Taken over by people who steal elections/power. Further, psychologically unstable people who do not believe in following the law and stated (out loud!) that the constitution is unconstitutional.

As for method 1
In The Power of the Powerless, Vaclav Havel et. al. describe ways to live in the truth. Insisting, know that human rights and freedom are indivisible.

One method people living in post-soviet countries used to live in truth was based on the principle of legality. People operate publicly and openly, insisting their activity is in line with the law.
