Some of us are not vegan. Some are.
Some of us are not vegetarian. Some are.
What you choose to eat or not eat does not make you a more moral person.
Some of us drink alcohol. Some don't.
Some of us drink tea. Some don't.
Again, what you choose to drink or not drink doesn't make you a more moral person.
These are simply personal choices.
I hate tea. I don't like seafood. I don't suggest that those who like these things are somehow morally inferior, I just don't consume them.
And before you accuse me of "reading something into your words", the whole "they are my brothers now" bit assumes that those who choose to consume dairy products or meat, automatically have no care for animals. I'm not the only one who got that.
I know a lot of people on the vegetarian continuum. Most of them are people who make their choices and accept that others make their own.
A few, I will never go to dinner with again, after getting a lecture on the evils of cheese or whatever is the hot vegan button of the day for them.
You seem to belong in the second group, the group of vegans who will work hard to ruin everyone's dinner by being obnoxious to make yourself feel superior.
