Look at DU. It is far too often awash in fake and or false news, whether wilfully posted or not. That dross is then far too often amplified by others who just take it as automatically valid.

The level of discernment here is low from far too many and far too often, simply because it (a fake or false post) is something that reinforces their personal beliefs and/or wishes.

That is but one example, and the level of discernment on DU is STREETS AHEAD of so many other social media platforms, especially the truly massive ones that dwarf tiny DU in size and impact.
