2. The insidious conclusion of their belief is to blame anyone who gets a disease

While it is obvious that a bad lifestyle can make you less healthy, it is not true that even obsessively following a good lifestyle will guarantee you stay healthy.

In policy positions, their assumption, that bad choices are always the cause, may lead to less funding to study causes and treatments. It also leads to blaming the victim.
