from me it would have been the same. The entire church is complicit in covering up the abuse of children. That's a fact.

Also, I'm not a Catholic or part of any religion, but people who abuse children seem to gravitate to churches where they have access to children who are told that a. they can be trusted and b. you must listen to them and do as they say.

Look at the protestant pastors/youth pastors who have been caught recently.

I also generally have a pretty dim view of churches overall.

So, what I was saying is that on that topic, this guy is probably no better or worse than any of them.

Fact is, even the "liberals" in the Catholic church hierarchy are very much not good for women, children, GLBT+, or a whole list that would be too long to type right now.
