have a lot of cryptocurrency. It keeps going up and up in notional value. But it is difficult to sell huge quantities for goods in the real world. These powerful people want their cryptocurrency to be spendable just like cash. The amount of cryptocurrency which needs to be laundered is so great now that only way it can be converted into real world cash is by legitimizing it through the world's reserve currency.

Of course Krasnov has his own shady side hustle. His nft's and personal cryptocurrency brand are simply ways to pay him off for favors.
