I'm finding it harder and harder to believe this is some kind of "trolling." This is more like Harry Morgan character, General Bartford Hamilton Steele, in the M*A*S*H episode, "The General Flips At Dawn." Except that the General didn't have a legion of sycophants and huge cult following him.
