They were asked to wear a dark suit (it doesn't say black) and a black tie. Plenty did not wear a black tie.

Sorry to be a big pooper but sometimes stuff like this just annoys me. People were going on about his blue tie but Biden wore one as did others.
Some had printed ties. Zelensky didn't wear a tie at all. Not every woman wore black. I think everyone dressed appropriately.

What ticks me off is that he was invited.... but you know, rapists and shit.
