Anything that facilitates a robust discussion with the general public about the emergency is valuable.
That doesn't expend political capital, it builds it. There is nothing more important.
We need an all out 24/7 fight not just to save the country, but to save the planet. All of this pick your battles, keep your powder dry, be practical, be realistic crap is exactly what caused this catastrophe. It is not the way out.
