Dear Democratic Party Leaders, with all due respect... [View all]

Please stop sending out missives about the awful things that Trump is doing. We already know this. We know he's going to do awful things. We've known this since 2015. Sending out anxiety-inducing text messages does not do a damn thing.

As a suggestion, send out texts about the upcoming governor's race in VA this fall or the mayor's race in NYC. How about motivating people to register to vote or checking their voting registration status? How about throwing local get-togethers, mixers in some Democratic precincts? A little coffee and donuts with the voters.

In sum, let's work on constructive engagement with the voters well in advance of election day. So that when you send people to knock on doors, they will see a familiar face.

Being pro-active is far superior to being angst-ridden 24/7.
