Reading the Pope's words through the lens of the last four years and his belief in the separation of church and state ... looks like one can conclude that Kamala the Christian is the lesser of two evils.
It should be clear that sending migrants away, denying migrants the capacity to work, to not welcome migrants, it is a sin. It is grave, the pope added.
He also emphasized the Catholic Churchs perennial stance that abortion is murder.
Whether you like the word or not, it is a killing, he said. It is an assassination, and on this we should be clear.
Despite his disapproval of the two candidates, the pope made it clear that he wasnt trying to deter his followers from going to the polls. One must vote, he said.
One must choose the lesser of two evils, he added. Who is the lesser of two evils, that lady or that gentleman, I do not know.
The Pope concluded that Catholics in America must consult their conscience before casting a vote one way or the other.
This isnt the first time the Pope has weighed in on a presidential election. In 2016, he slammed Trump again for his stance on immigration. Anyone who intends to expel migrants en masse, the pope said at the time, is not Christian....

Harris advocates for the freedom to exercise moral choice, but the individual person is the one solely responsible for making that choice.
Don't think that the Pope isn't aware of how divided Catholics are about abortion, with Biden in the pro-choice camp. Many think it's about 1. each Catholic, God and the Holy Spirit, and 2. "judge not, lest ye be judged."

Exactly. Equating Harris and trump as evil to some degree shows how evil the RCC is.

It would be nice if we had a Supreme Court that upheld the separation of church and state.

Well said. This is, to me, the most disappointing thing he's said or done since becoming Pope.

This commentary is about as ridiculous and reactionary as the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Historically, the Catholic doesn't have much of a track record when it has injected itself into politics

Francis could have just not taken the interview until after the election. He chose NOT to endorse Tscf.
