I was raised Catholic myself and while I have many problems with the Catholic Church from protecting pedophiles to it’s stand on abortion, I know that bigotry against Catholics is a real thing. For centuries, Catholics were persecuted in many countries like England and Germany. In this country Irish immigrants were discriminated against because they were Catholic. The reason many cities here have a Catholic school system is because public schools wouldn’t admit Catholics. When JFK ran for President Catholic bigotry was on full display during the campaign.

What many forget about Catholics is that most are loyal democrats. About 48% are registered democrats versus only 24% being registered republicans. A majority of Catholics voted for both Presidents Clinton and Obama. Speaking about Obama when he worked as a community organizer it was for a Jesuit Catholic organization.

Bigotry for Catholics is as unacceptable as bigotry for Jews, Muslims or people of any faith or no faith.

This would be... 2naSalit Sep 15 #1
