Judge Slams Trump's Attempt to Tear Down Slavery Exhibit in Philly, Orders Exhibit Restored - Glenn Kirschner

You might recall that, just a few weeks ago, the Trump administration tore down a public exhibit in Philadelphia - a public exhibit that documented American history, including an exhibit about nine people enslaved by George Washington at his former home in Philadelphia.

On Presidents' Day, Judge Cynthia Rufe, who, incidentally, was appointed to the bench by another George - George W. Bush - quoting George Orwell's "1984," ruled that the Trump administration likely violated the law and ordered the Trump administration to restore the exhibit.

It seems the federal judiciary will not allow Trump and his flunkies to violated the law in their efforts to whitewash American history and try to bury evidence of America's original sin - slavery. - Glenn Kirschner - 02/17/2026.
