President Donald Trump delivered virtual remarks to the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, where he slammed his predecessor’s policies and said his presidency began a “revolution of common sense” as he warned global business leaders to make their products in the US or face tariffs. He also said he wants OPEC and Saudi Arabia to cut the cost of oil to help end the war in Ukraine.

2. STILL can't admit he is wrong and that the consumers are the ones who pay

Was thinking about this while my coffee was brewing this morning. Like too many people, he thinks government should be 'turning a profit'. Remember all those 'government should be run like a business' GOP pols? They convinced too may voters that the government should not be providing services that don't create income. They constantly confuse the purpose of governments (service to citizens) with purpose of business (take money & put it in hands of investor class).

Raking in money via tariffs will give the GOP some bragging rights and let them justify more tax cuts for the rich. And it's a given that tariff caused inflation to consumers will be blamed on democrats.
