To many people who grew up in the '70's and '80's, the word "Palestinian" was always followed by "terrorist/s". I never met a Palestinian until I met the husband of one of my professors in college who was a Palestinian professor at another local college. But most of us equated "Palestinians" with Hezbollah or the PLO.
