There is no difference, she said

An acquaintance on Facebook is having a meltdown today. She posted that no one can tell her the difference between Trump and Biden.

I suggested that she isn’t even asking the question. Even when I’ve tried to post something on her page to dispute a point she was making, she deleted it. For example, she said Joe was nowhere to be found for a Covid response. I showed her a link where he was indeed addressing the issue. She deleted it and told me not to post such positive things about Biden on her timeline because it upsets her. And then deleted my post.

So when she posted today that no one could tell her a difference, I said I’d try but she would delete me, and that I didn’t believe she was really asking that question if anyone.

Her response?

“HE’S A RACIST RAPIST!!! THERE’S NO COMING BACK FROM THAT!!!“

Makes me wonder where she gets her news and who she listens to. I can see how such an allegation might upset her, but you have to believe them first.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

She found the politics to fit her needs, or they found her, and since avoided information that didn't suit, which as her ideology hardened came to include most political reality. Now any statement that contradicts her belief system is immediately recognized for what it is -- a lie meant to deceive and its purveyor at best a deluded fool not worth listening to. Like my reaction when someone sincerely suggested I read Ann Coulter to understand myself (liberals).

I don't know if Sanders is capable of guilt for his role he's played in the lives of those most vulnerable to his messages, or if he truly believes he's enlightened them, but I despise him for it anyway. He didn't create their dispositions, but some of these people are never going to recover even to what they were before 2015. Others will make sure of that. This one will never get the counseling she needs to get her feet back on the ground, and her anguish that is so completely unnecessary and unjustified is likely to color her world view and flare every election season, possibly for the rest of her life.

For being pro-Biden all this time.
Just disgusted. Well yeah, if she believes what she believes I’m sure I’m disgusting to her.

But I haven’t been pro Biden this whole time. He’s maybe my third or fourth choice. I was a Pete person. Can’t say that though because she was part of a group called “Queers against Pete”

Reading her day to day posts tells me that there might be some metoo in her past. So I get why she would feel strongly. But you have to believe the allegations first.

But it’s been evident for a while that Bernie was not going to be the nominee. And her reaction today tells me she hadn’t digested that yet

worse for women like me...and I survived...I am lucky to be alive. I went to therapy and put it behind me...but I never discussed it outside of therapy. And really it was still there festering. Me Too brought it all back. But I am OK. Posting here was therapeutic also. I lived through it; got my life back and have had a great life...married the best guy in the world...and had four wonderful kids. I am one of the lucky ones. And I would say if any here are spreading the Tara BS lie online, consider the damage she does to women who are less likely to be believed by those who will use this woman as an example of why women shouldn't be believed.

Instead of blocking first, you tried to open their eyes to the truth. We should all be trying to do that, to bring back some sanity to these people. It doesn't matter if it's useless to do, there is still a chance you could get some of them to snap out of it down the line and that would be good enough.
