By Fredreka Schouten, CNN, Updated 8:22 PM ET, Sat March 21, 2020
And President Donald Trump and his allies continued to build a massive war chest for the general election.
Biden raised more than $18 million in February -- twice the amount his campaign had collected the previous month, and the former vice president entered March with a little more than $12 million remaining in his campaign account.
And that was before his sweep of victories coast to coast this month solidified his political comeback. During the CNN-Univision debate earlier this week, Biden indicated that his campaign already had brought in $33 million in the first two weeks of March.

He outspent Biden 20:1 on ad placements.
All for naught.
Biden won states where he didn't have a single office or a single employee or a single ad running.
Moral of the story: Sanders' policies and message stunk so badly that voters rejected it wholesale.

(1,315 posts)because they were already going to vote for Bernie.
So in 3 months, each volunteer got 0.7 additional people to vote for Bernie. Hope they are not in the sales field where such numbers would result in immediate firing.

And, then when you put it in perspective by how many votes he got.. it does seem incredulous.

(305,209 posts)And he spent nearly as much: Burning through $45 million -- or more than three times the $13.1 million spent by Biden's camp in February
It Boggles my freaking mind!
What's To "ASSESS"?..
Sanders said this week he still was assessing the state of his campaign after the string of Biden victories had effectively closed his path to the Democratic presidential nomination.
Thank you for the article, George.. somebody had to do a write on this phenomenal difference in the cash flow.. and who WON sometimes with spending No Money!

(1,026 posts)a chiseler. It seems to me, they're trying to thread that needle. I wonder if the campaign gets to keep any of the money that went to donations? An administration free or anything?

(1,026 posts)Pete won Iowa, NH was a tie and NV was a caucus where only 4% of registered voters voted. Whoever on his team thought this was a strong showing was sorely mistaken or trying to save their own asses from being fired. How could they be so confident with such poor results after spending so much money?
