a long time now, and read a bunch of stuff from his past, and I think he truly believes what he says about Democrats. Oh, he's not crazy, I've seen him backtrack and softer-peddle competently a bunch of times in interviews when he was called on something. Cubans are as likely to be republicans as democrats. And the other large group, Puerto Rican’s have a whole different set of issues and arrive here as citizens. The ones I know do not see themselves as immigrants more like Americans moving between states. Of course, that is small sample of the ones I work with. They are often very familiar with the party and it’s history.
