Bloodbath...and rightfully so.

Or Nikki Haley, for that matter, if Trump decides to replace Pence.

this emergency response to the Coronavirus -- no matter what Pence does, it's a major cluster fuck. That way, tRump can not only blame him for the mess over the response to this emergency, but get Haley on on the ticket -- a real deal twofer for tRump.

That is preposterous. I thought we put to that bed the other day when he walked up to the podium and matter of factly bailed out Trump during the coronavirus presser. Posters here were furious at Pence because he was so superior to Trump in the same setting.

That style is incredibly effective in debate setting. It reminds me exactly of Jim Gibbons when he ran for Nevada governor. Prior to those debates the conventional wisdom was that Gibbons would be trounced in debates. But everyone in my living room during the debate watching parties was nodding their head as the silver haired guy did not get emotional and methodically recited his plans. Yes, it was one misrepresentation after another. With Pence it will be one like after another. That doesn't matter at all when you don't get rattled and can connect one lie to another in logical fashion.

This is the same type of thing I remember here from the Dick Cheney situation in 2004.

And don't bother telling me that whoever the woman is this time will be a different level than John Edwards. No, the difference will be you underestimated Cheney that time and Pence this time. Once that vice president has 4 years to describe he doesn't have any problem emphasizing anything that comes across well and ignoring/deflecting any negative aspects.

I'd much rather debate against an emotional vice president than someone like Cheney or Pence.

the other two should be in the Cabinet.... Well, Harris could stay in the Senate for a while, she's very good there.
