Puerto Rico eliminates COVID-19 curfew: Here's what you need to know before traveling to the island

Puerto Rico Gov. Pedro Pierluisi has issued changes to his executive order for COVID-19 eliminating the curfew and other measures to relax restrictions in the face of the pandemic.

The new executive order will take effect Monday, May 24, and last until June 6, Pierluisi said Thursday at a press conference. The relaxed rules could be extended after the two weeks.

“We will continue to monitor all the [COVID-19} statistics to adjust if necessary or to continue opening gradually,” Pierluisi said in a press release.
