Natural burial

Here is something / some place I learned about yesterday on a walk with a friend whose husband sadly died at a young age from Parkinson's. The family did not want cremation, and this natural burial was the right choice for her family.

This is in Washington state. I expect there are others around the country.

we can still bury on our own property... that would be my choice, except that my property is either too wet or too rocky... can't dig 6 feet down without hitting water or lots of ledge

there is a push to create "Green Burial Sites" in Vermont

(He didn’t get it done there) and being a chemist kind of guy wanted to propose a more natural composing procedure than what they use. I’m not sure where his daughter had it done but she gave some of my siblings who wanted it some of the compost (for lack of a better term).
