Cannabis

DC legalized recreational cannabis a couple years ago but you can't buy or sell it you can only possess it.
But there is a loophole in the law that says you can gift up to an ounce a weed to someone. You can sell me a Bic lighter for $60 and as a gift you can also give me $60 worth of weed. Or you can just call it a donation to somebody's cause homelessness or whatever and as appreciation for your donation they can gift you weed.
Totally legal.
DC has medical dispensaries though that takes out of state cards and I have been using mine there. I like going to the shops.
But recently DC cut off California cards too many people were using them. So I had to go out Into the Wild West and try out the gray Market.
It actually wasn't that bad. It was about a 15-minute closer Drive. Waited about 20 minutes for the guy.
The product was as good as the dispensary and was actually cheaper.
I was fine using the dispensaries paying the taxes helping contribute to the city keeping those people in business but apparently they no longer want our business so there we go

NC will never legalize it. NC won't even legalize medical marijuana. I don't know anyone who uses it any more. So, I'm SOL for the foreseeable future, probably the rest of my life at this rate. It sure feels like it.

(33,957 posts)Take your pick, medical, recreational or your neighbors garden. I stopped for 2 months just to just get my baseline. I was only smoking a couple of puffs before bed. I had a big ziplock pretty full so another shut down money saver.
No big difference, but I did sleep the whole night last night. That was nice.

(14,182 posts)Georgia makes a major effort to stop scalpers from reselling Masters tickets. Several people over the years have been arrested for the Ill sell you 2 tickets at face value if you buy this pen for $5,000.
In every case they are found guilty. All the prosecution has to do is prove that no one is going to pay $5,000 for a $1 item.
That being said, cops everywhere, and probably even more so in DC, are losing interest in prosecuting weed possession cases when people are only getting $200 fines, so you likely can get away with it.

(20 posts)Here in Illinois my wife and I have learned the hard way that simply trusting
in Dispensary product is a risk not worth taking. The issue we have had is inconsistent
or out dated product. I had used two different Dispensaries to purchase Med grade once My wife began
incorporating cannabis into her cancer treatment regiment. Second time I pulled a bud apart to find it packed
with mold was last trip to a Dispensary. We had one of my nephews who is a Geneticist showing us
how to do an organic grow of our own. Took a few tries but was well worth the effort and investment.
With 2 Sativa and 1 Indica strain the three plants we have produce far more than my wife
needs. We have been able to help out a small group of Seniors unable to grow their own
who struggle to afford the Dispensary rates.
My wife and I believe we seniors can work together to help each of us find affordable
Med grade MJ.
