Who loves rolling joiints?

I've been buying prerolls a lot lately and at $5 apiece for about .75 grams, I figure I need to start learning how to roll my own.

With the 4/20 specials out there tomorrow, I'll have some opportunity to roll some top-shelf weed.

I bought RAW hemp plastic cigarette and plenty of weed, but it somehow ends up looking like toothpicks, when I try to roll...

The budtenders make it look so easy.. I don't know how amazing they do these...

Might have to find a decent step-by-step video or instructions.....

You can also find cheaper rollers at a local tobacco shop but the belts are heat bonded vinyl that fail pretty quickly.
As a tobacco smoker I've been rolling my own for decades. I can't do the old cowboy movie one handed roll but I have all the other options covered.
Just wish cannabis was an option here.

Ah, yeah, using the flap of the Zig-Zag packet to separate seeds and stems from the good stuff. I remember breaking up a pound that had about a tree branch sized "stem" buried in the middle of it. The days of Mexican brown weed.

I quit smoking over 30 years ago, just when Sinsemilla was really replacing the Mexican brown stuff around here. Thai stick was the closest thing I'd had prior to that. Then, about 10 years ago, a guy I worked with gave me a thumb-sized bud of some orange-hair Mendocino grown stuff.

Went home, made a beer can carburetor, and took about five hits...

Thought I was gonna' have a heart attack.

I do miss the taste of the brown, haven't tasted that for decades. Being in Denver the week after recreational became law was surreal...years of smoking and possessing illegally and suddenly it is legal. Going to a party at a glass bong shop with 150 people smoking pot out back, cops wandering through checking id's of young lookers joking around with everyone before heading on their way...surreal...

although it has been practically legal here for quite awhile.

Back in the day you could really get in trouble for it though, depending on the cop and the judge.

I smoked regularly for about 10 years before I quit, and for quite some time afterwards if I was driving and saw a cop, my first thought would be to what was in my ash tray.

I smoked from the late 60's until ten years ago. Then got my card. While leaving the local cooperative for my first purchase recently, I saw a tiny bud on the floor. I picked it up, and when I got home smoked only half a bong hit. I was literally laying on the floor for a half hour wondering if I could hold it all together. It was like going back in time to the days when we really smoked too much.

I heard a customer telling his story the other day while downtown. He grew up in Mendocino, and thought he was pretty experienced. When he went to Thailand, someone rolled him an actual "pinner". He chuckled, and smoked part of it before realizing he was wasted to the point where he thought he was going to have to go to the hospital. Haha.

Randy's has a fine wire in the ungummed end..it is there to eliminate need for a clip, but it evens out the roll too...they'd just be easier to learn with than thinner papers imo

I little practice and you can roll a nice fatty effortlessly. I got so I could roll almost a perfect regular cigarette width joint. That was how I learned and it worked so well that I never did bother to learn to roll well freehand. This guy wets the paper before he puts it in there. I never did that. Once rolled you can pull it from the bill and do that easily.

Are easier to roll with. The extra paper is more forgiving for a beginner. What you roll is also important, its much easier to roll leaves and large flakes.
As was mentioned above place most of the dope toward the ends with less in the middle. If not you end up with a snake that ate the rabbit look with a big lump in the center.

Given enough practice you can roll monster joints with multiple papers.

32. Use 1.5 sized papers
Sun Apr 26, 2015, 05:05 PM
Apr 2015

Fold the paper across about a quarter of the way up, put pot evenly across the paper and roll it from the middle. The ends will always take care of themselves. After you've rolled it from the middle to the glue, lick across and gently use your whole finger to pat down all the way across. The less pressure used on the ends, the more even the joint will be.

I practiced this years ago for about thirty minutes and got it down pat. The only problem being, all of your friends will appoint you the official roller.

I've always preferred joints to any other way of smoking so I've gotten pretty good at rolling them. My latest thing is using rolling tips. The pre-rolls at the dispensaries always have them so I decided to try them. They keep the marijuana in the joint so you don't get it in your mouth when you draw on it, and also, they make it possible to smoke the whole thing down with no waste. I hate accumulating stinky "roaches". Once you get the hang of rolling, try using rolling tips. You can find videos on YouTube showing how. IMO, you can't roll a perfect joint without a rolling tip.

That said, I only roll a joint once in awhile these days, usually only when I have company or am at a party, because joints are hard on my lungs. I try to keep to the vaporizer these days.

with papers and herb in hand and be willing to share a toke or two and I'm happily show you how easy it is.
Back story: Started rolling cigarettes before the first grade so I have been rolling joints/cigarettes for a long time and its relatively easy.
By the time I started smoking weed everyone thought I was an old pot head because of my rolling prowess. LOL
Once at a robin trower concert someone hollered out anyone here roll a joint, I rose my hand and the zigzags and baggies started coming my way. I must have rolled a hundred maybe two hundred when for whatever reason I look to my left and see the jeans with the strip down the side like cops wear and I look up at him and he's looking down at me, I smile, he smiles and we both went back to enjoying the music. I'll never forget that look and smile I got from the cop. Best concert I ever went too and I've been to a bunch of them. when I say best I mean me getting into the music like I did. It just carried me away.
