Little update on this current grow. (For history follow the link.) We are now starting the 4th week of growth after germination. These seeds are awesome, 100% germination, one plant is 5 days behind because of my FU. Im starting to consider starting two more bags, which would fit in the tent, to get a rolling harvest going. Must be decided in the next week, only because of lightning. I need to see how much the flowering stretch is going to be.
Ive started Very Low Stress Training (VLST). By tying down the outside branches and tucking under the large shade leaves, hopefully it will open more bud sites to light fostering better development.

One month family portrait.
Maybe you can see on this one how Ive tied the branches down. I use small binder clips clipped on the bags edge and pink pipe cleaner to tie it to the clip. Its adjustable if you give enough slack allowing for future development.

(15,359 posts)random tested on my job and only smoked his stuff a couple times but kept some around for buddies.
Now that I'm retired so is he. The legalization and big growers made it not worth it. All of us over here where he unloaded his surplus have shops in Washington just across the river. I just got two killer eighths for $60.

(10,681 posts)Im retired also this is my hobby. Ive grown up growing things all my life, my grandfather was a farmer in Poland before he came here. Taught me what I know about how plants behave, how to taste your soil and tons of organic growing techniques. Ive grown cannabis for decades for personal use.
Now Im taking what Ive learned and applying it to home cultivation of cannabis on a tight budget. We organized a very loose neighborhood cannabis growers meet-up. We share ideas and advice on growing. Store bought fertilizers can get to be confusing and very expensive. Most new growers overdo it.
Were not a bunch of stoners. Were all seniors of nearly so, most have minor ailments that cause discomfort or even outright pain. We share recipes for cannabis tinctures, salves, creams, edibles and more mostly with the purpose of relieving those discomforts. Plus its not all cannabis
we have broadened our knowledge base to the uses of other medical plants growing in our area. We have some people that have been able to completely give up the pain meds from big pharmaceutical companies.

(12,228 posts)Leaves seem the right size. Sometimes the leaves get to giant size. Wonder why.

(10,681 posts)These girls are completely stress free
no plant politics allowed! I tuck the large shade leaves under the node closest to the ground. Ill have to trim later from the bottom to direct growth to the upper buds.
Shade leaves came all different sizes and shapes from the familiar 5 finger to 7 and Ive grown some that had 10 fingers on the shade leaves
its about strain and what crosses exhibit themselves in the grow.
These strains are the first Ive grown from this breeder. The seeds I purchased are a mix of what hes been breeding
no knowledge of exactly what each individual bean will be. Truly a mystery grow. Link to the strain below.

I am about a week away from embarking on my first grow. I found a seed source for European strains that go back to OG genetics from Henk van Dalen. Where did you get yours ?
Best of luck with your grow!

(10,681 posts)Twisted Tree. They specialize in breeding Autoflowers. I try to support my local businesses in everything I do. I was a small biz owner before I retired, I know the struggles. TT had a fire a couple years ago
lost everything and I just received my first order from them. I was so looking forward to sprouting those beans. They called for help to help regrow their stock
I sent my seeds back to them, I wasnt the only one it was a world wide effort. They recovered nicely. I finally got to get going with my grow with the seeds they reimbursed me with.
Ive dealt with or communicated with most breeders, always looking for the best of the best genetics. Through many trials and talking with other growers Ive decided to get associations with small lot breeders. Seeds are usually fresher and when youre talking about 10-20 bucks a bean. Ya know!
This is what Im growing
