Related: About this forumGood news but don't get too excited.
https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/12/health/marijuana-rescheduling-fda-review/index.htmlA federal scientific review found that cannabis shod be classified less dangerous than its current killer status. Of course, each state can ignore the findings and fill the prisons with pot smokers. Heaven help them if they're trans! The war on drugs persists in the same places we find Jim Crow voter registration laws, xenophobia, death penalty frenzy, and all the other throwback efforts.

Nobody gets put in the federal pen for simple possession. Texas, on the other hand, has over 2o thousand in prison for simple possession. Three or four grams can get you several years. Insane.

when it was illegal. Not complaining, just not the same.

(5,367 posts)7. Yeah it was a lot more fun for me...
...in the early 70s when the cops beat the shit out of me and then charged me with 6 felonies because I had 1 ounce of "marijuana" aka cannabis.
That's the long story short of how fun it was.

after the public speaks. I will be surprised if the majority doesn't say this should have been done 50 years ago!
