My wife, not so much... I think due in part to the somewhat quirky (for some) ending.

That was the most "timely" movie I think I've ever seen. The cultural references were uncannily relevant. It was also the first movie I've seen that acknowledges COVID directly.

The ending was a bit over the top, but I like a good ridiculous ending. And there were two cameos in particular that really hit home.

Musk only took over Twitter 3 months ago? How did this get produced in the last 3 months?!

But of course, it's so much more than that...Zuck. Tfg of course...

My 1st pandemic era film that's ABOUT the pandemic. I was curious to see what the entertainment industry would do with it.

Witty, well-acted and written. Great storyline. Not overly violent. Perhaps not divine, but fun and oh so timely!

Playing Among Us over Zoom…
The way each person dealt with masking…
-the Alex Jones/Joe Rogan alt right podcaster not wearing one
-the ditzy celebrity wearing one that didn’t do anything
-the politician with the dicknose one.
-the scientist with the KN95 who refused to hug people
-Benoit with his fashionable cloth mask

and my favorite thing…
Hugh Grant with the jar of sourdough starter.

Lol! Hugh Grant is Mr. political. Adore his being in it.

I especially loved the references to basically altered perceptions and how they feed self purpose. And the multiple references to E Norton character being "stupid" and basically a loser/failure.

Rian Johnson getting this movie out right now as stuff is real-world happening is like Blanc solving the fake murder before it even happens!

It's a much more comprehensive introduction to Blanc and has more familiar murder-mystery tropes.

Since he's the only recurring character it helps to know Benoit Blanc to appreciate the audacity and fabulousness of the Covid Fantasy Greek Island Vacation Episode.

Just couldn't stand the sequel. I think a big part was the fake accent of Craig's character; it was unbearable.
