The Left Handed Gun (1958);
Hud (1963)
The Outrage (1954)
Hombre (1967)
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)
The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean (1972)
Pocket Money (1972)
Buffalo Bill and the Indians (1976)
Each and all are terrific movies.
Plenty of hat and plenty of cattle.

Even Lee Marvin looks better in his hat than Paul does……….must be the character he plays. He looks stupid in his cowboy hat.

There's not many movies which have been made which are better than Hud. Larry McMurtry wrote the novel. Martin Ritt directed it. Fantastic script; fantastic acting by everyone in the move; fantastic direction; outstanding dialogue; good music score; and, jaw dropping cinematography. What a cast! You can watch that movie 10 or more times and still be amazed by it and the nuances in it. I think that it is Newman's best acting role.

His character was such a scoundrel, and it ruined me forever. Made me obsessed with bad boys at the tender age of 13.
