Mariah suffers from cerebral palsy and epilepsy and is completely blind. In addition to her disabilities, Mariah recently had her spine fused. As a result, she requires round-the-clock attention and extensive medical care. So when the family van broke down, leaving Miss Katherine struggling to get Mariah to her frequent doctors appointments, Maiya took matters into her own hands.
Maiya turned to Google to research car dealerships in her area. She stumbled across Danis Auto. Having read that they frequently participate in community outreach programs, Maiya wrote to them asking for help. She got more than she bargained for.
Maiya simply wanted Danis team to come to their home and take a look at Miss Katherines van. She was hoping that they would be able to repair the old van and get it back on the road. Well, Danis Auto had a different idea
On the day that Danis Auto was supposed to be at their West Philadelphia home, they showed up with a little more than a tool bag and repairman.
It is worth following the link and getting the whole story. Dani's delivered them a new, customized van. This is one of those stories that reminds you that there really are a whole lot of really good, caring folks out there.
