(43,049 posts)I use Opera and when I shut off the computer or otherwise close Opera I have to log in again.
But, doesn't happen in Opera on my phone.
Or on Firefox, or Vivaldi, or any other browser I've tried.
Too many possibilities to worry about. I just log in again- at least it keeps my password.

(5,346 posts)I think its after a week, maybe two? Cant remember the exact time frame, just that I have to log back in again periodically on both devices. I think its a security measure?
But this happens on my IPhone, never tablet or puter and Ill get signed out randomly during any one day or sometimes not.
Strange.

(4,835 posts)That's where some of the password info resides; they can become corrupted.
One quick way to delete them from within a browser:
-While you're on the DU website, click on the lock icon on the left end of the address bar
-In the lower part of the dialog box, click on 'cookies'
-In the 'allowed' tab, highlight each line and click 'remove'
