Searching for a Thread?

Checked the Help forum before asking, please forgive me if I am missing something obvious:

How do I find a thread I’ve seen recently, specifically, ‘Friday toons’ ? I know header changes color, but is there a faster way than scrolling back through things?

1. You're a star member, so you should see a Google search box in the upper right-hand corner

just type 'Friday toons' in that box and hit return. I got 'about 647 results.'

I think this is the one you want.

I used the advanced search function accessed via the tab at the top of the General Discussion Forum. I simply put TOONS in the Search term(s) box and hit search.

3. You can use the Search this Forum function at the top of every forum

Or if you don't know which Forum, Advanced Search is in the top right hand corner of DU. You can choose a specific Forum and specify the date range. I use it all the time.
