I just see a little broken jpeg image.

E.g., I can't see any picture in the OP at https://www.democraticunderground.com/10029236649 .

My browser is Firefox.

1. Try clearing your browser cache. SOmetimes that helps fix lots of things!

I had that problem also, and I was blocking certain categories of web pages.
