Kathleen Parker of WaPo thinks VP Harris should resign

https://wapo.st/4aeRMw5. gift article

Title-"For the country’s sake, Vice President Harris should step aside

snip-"The Kamala conundrum comes down to this: She was picked because she was Black and female, a combo tantamount to job security. Now that she has become a burden to the Democratic ticket, Biden can’t fire her. He can’t risk alienating his base. Full stop. The seriousness of this situation can’t be overstated. Biden’s diminishing faculties, notwithstanding his relatively successful State of the Union address, and his increasing physical frailty are concerning."

Working for reproductive rights, immigration, infrastructure and education. She’s not a glory hog so she’s not out front with “look at me” attention. Biden will not fire her nor will we at the ballot box 🗳️

Not a news story. She's a conservative columnist on their Op-Ed page. Her opinion does not reflect the paper's opinion.

Kathleen Parker (born 1951/1952) is a columnist for The Washington Post. Parker is a consulting faculty member at the Buckley School of Public Speaking, a popular guest on cable and network news programs and a regular guest on NBC's Meet the Press, and previously on MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews.

Parker considers herself politically to be "mostly right of center",[1] has been described as a "conservative-leaning columnist",[2] and was the highest-scoring conservative pundit in a 2012 retrospective study of pundit prediction accuracy in 2008.[3]

During the 2018 Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court nomination, Parker wrote a column advancing the theory that the alleged victim, Christine Blasey Ford, was mistaken in her identification of Brett Kavanaugh, and that there must be a doppelgänger.[17] The doppelgänger theory was criticized by other Washington Post columnists, such as Max Boot,[18] Erik Wemple,[19][20] Jennifer Rubin, E. J. Dionne, and Avi Selk.

her ability to meet the needs of so many media outlets rather than WAPO-- as before-- since going syndicated. She did not correct him when he said he was glad her column would still appear in WAPO.

They have Left & Right opinion columnists. It's what good papers do. It's the one page where Opinions (not news or features) appear. There are many right-wing Opinion columnists that I can't even read. She's one of them. But I don't want the WaPo to give up this time-honored practice of an Op-Ed Page.

Every honest person knows he’s (Biden) not in top form.

No Kathleen, every honest person watched Joe Biden deliver a State Of The Union address that eviscerated the Republican party and outplayed every crude Republican heckler in the room.

Then every honest person watched as Democratic House members caught Robert Hur in lie after lie as the truth that Joe Biden has a photographic memory and that he named the day, month and year of Bo Biden's death came out and that every slur in Hur's summery of the report was refuted in the transcript of six hours of interviews Joe sat for in the days immediately following the HAMAS incursion into Southern Israel.

Shades of Billy 'Fats' Barr's lying summery of the Mueller Report.

So Kathleen, every dishonest Republican says that Joe is over the hill and unfit for purpose and every dishonest Republican apologist agrees with that party's assessment while claiming the demented, criminally indicted, personality disordered, irredeemably stupid, grotesquely incompetent rapist Drumpf is ready for the highest office in the land.

The few remaining honest Republicans are fleeing the party with the MAGGAT mob at their heels screaming death threats while the dishonest ones dismantle the party machinery and bankrupt the party treasury to feed Drumpf's $60 million a year legal bills.

As to Kamala Harris, her role is to eviscerate the Dobbs decision and fuel the bonfire the hard right Catholic Federalist Society hand picked Court built that is consuming White 'christian' Nationalism on the way to another spectacular election loss as women across America repudiate the Republican party.

The word 'honest' is a curse in the mouth of Kathleen Parker, a woman for whom honesty died stillborn and unlamented as an apologist for the most unapologetically dishonest people in America as they bow down to the biggest political liar in the history of the nation in the quest to anoint him king and themselves princelings for hire to the highest bidder.

Evidence…?

Or could it be because she was elected attorney for the city of San Francisco, then elected and re-elected attorney general of the largest state, before being elected to the U.S. senate?

I wonder if Parker wrote anything similar when McCain picked “Miss Five-Colleges” to be his running mate, if not for her tits n’ ass?

(I don’t know who these Democrats are who think she is a burden to the Party, but I not one of them.)

She was not picked because she's a black woman. White women need to STFU and stop voting for Republicans!

Within twenty-four hours of the announcement, Harris's campaign received over $1.5 million in donations from about 38,000 individuals across all fifty states, with the average donation being $37.[28][29][30][31] At the time, this record amount tied with the one set by U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders during the 2016 election.[32]

The swing has been steady at WaPo since Bezos bought the Washington post group including Kaplan test prep and Kaplan college.

When the for profit college became a liability rather than a cash vow, he sold it off to Purdue.

Now he uses WaPo to push talking points favorable to him and his billionaire buddies.

(On Dr Biden)
snip-"Jill Biden has appeared for a while to be running the show and, therefore, the country — though I don’t recall seeing her name on the 2020 ballot. It’s clear she is pushing her husband to stay in the race, probably not eager to retreat to Delaware with a man whose years have caught up with him. It happens. Age sweeps in the front door and, faster than you can say “Scranton,” turns a previously vigorous, intelligent person into a stranger content to watch dust particles do the hokey pokey in a shaft of sunlight."

(On President Biden & VP Harris)

snip-"Biden, as nearly everyone has noted, couldn’t form intelligible sentences. At times, he entered the stare zone where the brain searches desperately for a GPS to tell him where he is. As I’ve written during the past 3½ years, it was painful to watch. Almost as painful as listening to Kamala D. Harris try to ground her thoughts in sentences. Most of the time, she sounds as though she’s leading a séance. A speech she gave at Howard University last year makes the point:

“So I think it’s very important — as you have heard from so many incredible leaders — for us, at every moment in time, and certainly this one, to see the moment in time in which we exist and are present, and to be able to contextualize it, to understand where we exist in the history and in the moment as it relates not only to the past, but the future,” she said-ish.

A four-minute, viral video recently in circulation on X shows her repeating a phrase that she seems to like — a lot — in numerous settings. I didn’t count the number of times she said some variation of “what can be, unburdened by what has been,” in those four minutes, but the woman gets credit for being able to inject dramatic earnestness into words of which even she, surely, has wearied."

More there.
