"Summer of Rage" & demonstrations.
Yesterday at the Hart Senate Office Building nearly 600 mainly women were arrested by CapitolPD. It was a sit down protest from a Womens March about the kid detention camps. It didn't look like the PD were prepared for that sit down. It's almost fallen.out of the news b/c of the sheer noise grabbing our attention. The author of this piece has given me some things to consider. It's not a long read, but insightful & worth the time.

The documents that encoded the participatory democracy of which Americans tend to be so proud expressly barred the electoral, civic, and economic participation of the nonwhite and the non-male."
