snip:
In a letter to Congress, Planned Parenthood complains that it is once again the victim of "a group of extremists who have intimidated women and doctors for years in their agenda to ban abortion completely."
The videos have surfaced just as Congress is debating next year's budget. Leaders in both the House and Senate have said they expect to see amendments that revive longtime calls to defund Planned Parenthood.

(64,881 posts)PPFA doesn't offer trainings to affil. staff -- and esp. doctors -- to be extremely careful in giving out interviews that could possibly be taped and to be careful with the clinical details of an actual procedure. To make sure that the public understands that there is no such thing as "partial birth abortion" and get out the actual statistics about when abortions take place in this country, which is about 9 weeks, overwhelmingly. AND, to point out that no other single organization in this country PREVENTS abortion more than PP.
