we are feminists.
we are gonna do feminist stuff, redq. and that is speaking up and out to challenge. oh, and man space. i just had a conversation. a man coming in here to dismiss something baines said, with .... and they are trying to deny our football both saturday and sunday. now. really? that is so whine 1970's. lottsa of women like to do nothing on saturday and sunday, but drink, eat and watch football. have fun. and play.
mans space. another gone. we are doing good women.
what was that about the game space. and women hitting what.... half or more?
boom. another space down.
a funny one. my niece is dating a man. he asked, .... sighin and a great burden. are you one of those women (young) you know, sex positive, (this is getting funny), that want to go into strip clubs for drinks? cause i do not like strip clubs. please do not make me go.
booom.... another man space down.
what say you?

(11,804 posts)and place themselves on the Good side of the line. Some men don't like Feminism, except in very easy to understand situations, because they don't like acknowledging that they might have some Bad in them.
Everybody has Bad in them; the person who is most sure of their Goodness is likely to be pretty damn Bad. It's only by acknowledging and fighting against the Bad in us that we can really become Good. In this context - most men have some chauvanism or misogyny in them; it's all around us in our society. It's hard to swim in filthy waters and not get a little bit dirty. You can choose to ignore that dirt and pretend it doesn't exist or you can choose to acknowledge it and do your best to wipe it away.
At any rate, I hope you don't get kicked off anytime soon, and I hope Redqueen decides to rejoin (although I can understand why she might not).
