Women can go a long way in Boston

It was only in 1967 that Katherine Switzer entered and completed the Boston Marathon, on race day, from start to finish. Her time was not earth shattering but that might have been due to the stupid interference of one of the race officials. It was a great start but women marathoners were refused an Olympic race until 1984, that's only 30 years, less than half my lifetime!
